Nene Leakes, who is best known for being on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has praised her late husband Gregg Leakes, who died at the age of 66 following his battle with colon cancer.

He was first diagnosed in 2018, and Nene left the show in order to be there for her husband. While he had the best medical care that was available, it was not enough to save him. And he left behind his wife, as well as their son Brentt, who they had welcomed together in 1999. That is why she made sure that she remembered him for the good times he had given her.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, she shared a video of herself dancing with Gregg. They are having a wonderful time, and they both have huge smiles on their faces.
The reaction from the public was very sympathetic, given that Nene has been left behind as a single mother. One fan wrote: “So sorry for your loss. Sending you strength and healing,” while another said: “Praying for your strength we love you U have our support.”
Although the news was clearly tragic, the only positive thing that could be taken away from it all was the fact that Gregg had died in the presence of his family. That allowed the family to give a farewell, knowing that something was on the cards as he became very ill just prior to the death.
During a public event last week, Nene declared that her husband was ‘dying at home’ and was emotionally shaken by the stress of it all. As such, when the news came, she requested that the fans give her some privacy so that she could grieve.
In a statement given by Nene’s representative at the time of the death, he remarked: “After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife Nene Leakes.”
The best way for the family to continue honouring him is to be happy. After all, that is what Gregg would have wanted. Let us hope that the family can pull through this tough time together.
