British Royal Family News find that now that’s one awkward family reunion that Prince Harry doesn’t have to worry about. There’s a new report that says Queen Elizabeth’s traditional Trooping the Colour parade has been canceled once again because of the ongoing pandemic that has been the coronavirus.
A statement released by Buckingham Palace says that the Queen’s birthday celebration “will not go ahead this year in its traditional form.”
“Following consultation with Government and other relevant parties it has been agreed that The Queen’s Official Birthday Parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, will not go ahead this year in its traditional form in central London,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said in a statement over the weekend.

“Options for an alternative Parade, in the quadrangle at Windsor Castle, are being considered,” the statement said. “The annual Garter service, usually held in June, will not take place this year.”
For Queen Elizabeth, she would rather cancel the celebration because she’s more concerned about everyone’s safety. Even a record number of people are getting their vaccines, there are also fears of a third coronavirus wave spreading through many parts of Europe right now.
As of press time, France, Poland and Ukraine are now enforcing strict lockdowns to help curb the spread of the virus.
One insider behind the scenes put it this way, “Having received advice from Government, Public Health England and other relevant bodies, it was clear that holding such a large scale event in central London, with the associated crowds, travel and additional infrastructure required to make it compliant with Covid-19 guidance, would not be possible this year,” the insider shared.”
As many fans can recall, Queen Elizabeth’s birthday last year was celebrated with a smaller ceremony than usual.
