British Royal Family News finds that Prince Phillip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, has, in spite of the rest of his family’s crazy antics over the years, stayed largely out of the spotlight. What does Prince Phillip do on a daily basis? Aside from appear at royal engagements when needed we don’t really know. He has not really ever been covered by the press in-depth.
At least not like the significant others of his children and grandchildren have. If Prince Phillip does anything on a daily basis then he seems to be the past royal alive to enjoy some freedom from the press, at least that is until recently.
British Royal Family News: Is Prince Phillip okay?
On tiktok there have been rumors of some announcements circulating around Prince Phillip’s physical health. Several news outlets in the UK have been forced to make retractions because they have prematurely announced the royal’s death!
A few days ago, when the Prince was slated to move back to the hospital to treat an infection, the BBC played a rotating clip of the royal in his younger years then immediately stopped it and apologized for the intermission. Then the Sydney Morning Herald had a picture of him listed under Obituaries. What?! No, the royal is not dead. He’s very much alive but has just been in the hospital for a very long time having heart surgery.
However there is a rumor going around that alleges that Prince Phillip is already dead and has been dead since last March in 2020 but the royal family didn’t want to announce it in the midst of a pandemic? I mean, its one thing not to want to stress put your subjects but if Prince Phillip were dead I would think that it would be formally announced by the royal family, pandemic or not.
Historically there is some evidence that King Henry the 8th’s death announcement was post-poned but still, this day and age where news travels at the speed of light I would think that keeping such an announcement under wraps for very long would be virtually impossible, even with the tightest security.
Still, you have to wonder, is the press on stand-by? Is Prince Phillip’s health worse than what we’ve been led to believe? Was there someone by the same name admitted to the hospital who died and someone in the press simply got the wrong name and ran with it?
Prince Phillip’s health has been on the decline for awhile so one can see where an inexperienced eager beaver might break a story too soon or maybe word things in such a way to where things sound worse than they really are, but announcing that the man is dead is… yike!
Begs the questions though, in the case of royals how far in advance are obituaries written? Do they have them pre-written and just kind of fill in the blanks later? I mean it would save time, definitely, but still. What gives and what’s with all this rumor and speculation now? Stay tuned!!!
