British Royal Family News says that Prince Harry truly is like the rest of us when it comes to second or secret social media accounts. Apparently, the young royal prince used to have a secret Facebook account under the fake name of Spike Wells. He also had over 400 friends that included some of the UK’s wealthiest and most glamorous socialites. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Page Six, the account was reportedly active between the years of 2008 and 2012 and listed Prince Harry’s interests as “all sports” and his hometown of Maun, Botswana, instead of London. As many royal fans know, Botswana has a very special place in Prince Harry’s heart.

The account also had photos of Prince Harry and his then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy. While Prince Harry has never made any comments as to why he deleted the account or why he even had it in the first place, his social media posts were later limited to the Kensington Royal Instagram account that he shared with his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton. When he began his relationship with Meghan Markle, the two started their own Sussex Royal Instagram, which was highly active until the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s last day as full-time working members of the royal family in March of this year.
Now, whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will start a new royal account remains to be seen but for now the couple is currently laying low in Los Angeles because of the coronavirus shelter-in-place orders. In fact, the only way that Harry and Meghan have been reaching out to their royal fans and the public is through the multiple Zoom calls that they have participated in with several charities across the nation.
