    Prince Harry

Prince Harry has been slammed after claiming that people should quit their jobs, if it has an impact on their mental health.

Prince Harry Slammed For Suggesting People Should Quit ‘Jobs That Don’t Bring Them Joy’

Harry, for his part, has been speaking publicly about the importance of mental health as he engaged in his new role as ‘Chief Impact Officer’ for the mental health organisation ‘BetterUp.’

And as a way to encourage people to overcome their demons, Harry had allegedly stated the following during a question-and-answer session: “[People should not be] stuck in jobs that don’t bring them joy.”

Although Harry’s intentions may have been sincere, it has ended up creating a huge backlash for the following reasons. First of all, Harry is hardly short of money.

Therefore, it is much easier for him to say this given that he has a plethora of options available at his disposal if he decided to change his job.

Secondly, given that Harry has been accused of meddling in affairs that do not concern him ever since he left the Royal family, the very fact that he is speaking on mental health when he is being accused of disparaging the Royal family has received criticism.

Richard Wilkins, who happens to be the host of the hit programme ‘Today Show Australia’, has blasted Harry. In an official statement, he remarked: “Prince Harry has come under fire again after saying that quitting your job can bring joy.

“This advice from someone you know who lives in a multi-million dollar mansion with a $50 million Netflix deal and all.

“It’s a bit rich, isn’t it? What do you reckon?” Regardless of what you think about Harry’s stance, his comments show that he is out of touch with the rest of the public.

At a time where the pandemic has crippled the world, many people have been left devastated by the loss of jobs. In addition, some may have no choice but to stay in a job due to fear of losing their income.

As such, his comments do not resonate with the vast majority of people and only end up alienating them at a time of great uncertainty. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
