During his trip to the UK, it was evident to Prince Harry that the royal family is done with him. He went to visit his father, King Charles, who had recently been diagnosed with cancer. Harry flew to England and was only with his father for less than an hour.
Harry Saw His Father for the First time Since the Queen’s Funeral
Harry’s journey to the UK took about ten hours. He and the King met in London, where the father and son had a private meeting.
Prince Harry had not seen Charles since Queen Elizabeth’s memorial service in September 2022.
Many people were hoping that the visit would inspire Harry, Charles, and William to try to repair their fractured relationship.
However, that didn’t happen. William and Harry did not see each other at all. Kate was still recovering at her home in Windsor.
William had to care for his wife, Princess Catherine, and their children, Princes George, Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
Harry asked to stay at the Palace and was denied access. He was not invited to stay at any of the royal cottages either. Instead, Harry stayed in a luxury hotel for the night.
No invitation was extended for Harry to see his brother or Kate. So Harry left after just 24 hours. It wasn’t a very eventful trip. Harry must have been humiliated.
It is regrettable for the lonely Duke, who would probably reconcile with the royal family in a heartbeat despite writing a tell-all book that trashed them. He had to know that wouldn’t turn out well.
The royals don’t trust Harry. After years of revealing his family’s secrets and private issues between them, Harry isn’t seen in a very flattering light.
William Flat Out Refused to See His Brother
A source close to Prince William claims that the Prince of Wales flat out refused to see his brother. William may have been concerned about Harry opening his big mouth about his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton’s health condition, which is something that she has been very guarded about.
Prince Harry revealed a lot of dirt in his book, “Spare,” in which he details Kate and his wife, Meghan Markle’s argument over Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding.
He also made it a point to disclose that Kate allegedly made Meghan cry. However, Kate has an entirely different perspective.
Sources close to Kate claim that it was the other way around, and Meghan made her cry. No one will ever know the truth about what happened, but it’s also nobody’s business, and such matters should have remained private.
In the Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s book, “Endgame,” the author claimed that the two royal racists were Kate Midelton and King Charles.
It’s an accusation that deeply upset the royal family. It’s also, as they say in England, “a pile of rubbish.”
Although Charles may be interested in patching things up with his estranged son, when someone is diagnosed with cancer, it tends to motivate them to hold their family closer.
However, William wants nothing to do with Harry. Harry has burned his bridges with his brother. Charles may be more open to a reconciliation, but William is done.
Unfortunately, once William becomes king, Harry will be cut off permanently.
