Carol Vorderman and Gyles Brandreth disagreed with each other on the question of Prince Harry’s intelligence amid the release of his and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries.

Carol mentioned that she had gained a lot of knowledge from watching the series about Meghan so far. And in the process of doing so, her comments suggested that Meghan was far smarter than the Duke of Sussex.
She said: “I liked her, she is a planner and likes to control things in her life, and I don’t blame her at all. She is super intelligent – he [Harry] is nowhere near as intelligent or as intelligent as her.”
Nevertheless, those comments were not in entire agreement when it came to Gyles. He expanded on how Harry was equally capable of holding himself. This is particularly since he did serve in the British armed forces during the war in Afghanistan. Therefore, it would take a certain type of person to do this, especially since he came from a family of royalty.
That is why Gyles refused to see Harry in a negative light. His following comments confirmed as much: “I have a son-in-law who was in the Army and was with him in Afghanistan and it was said to me ‘don’t ever say anything against him, he is a really good person.”
The response on social media, though, viewed Harry in a negative light. People made it clear that regardless of Harry’s time in the military, he did not demonstrate intelligence to show that he was very capable of setting down his own mark.
One person wrote: “I agree with Carol – and he was hardly a ‘crack apache pilot’, he was a make a wish pilot at best.” Even if Harry is not the sharpest tool in the box, he has certainly made a name for himself and kept the Sussexes relevant with more press coverage than ever since their royal exit in 2020.
