Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again being slammed for saying one thing but doing another. The royal couple have shared their holiday card but it only features the two of them and not their two children, Archie and Lilibet. Of course, it didn’t take their critics very long to slam them for being hypocrites over their supposed need for privacy. Here’s what you need to know.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared their 2022 holiday card that features a black-and-white photo taken at the recent Robert F. Ken nedy Ripple of Hope Award Gala in New York City. It was signed, “Best wishes,” with both of their signatures.

The release of a holiday card has become a tradition for the family. In 2021 their Christmas card shared the first public photo of Lilibet Diana, who was born in June 2021. In 2020, their card featured an illustration of a photo taken by Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, of Archie and their two dogs, Pula and Guy.
In 2019, Meghan and Harry shared their first Christmas card as a family of three, and in 2018, the then-newlyweds released their first Christmas card as a couple with a snap from their royal wedding reception at Frogmore House.
Meanwhile, many critics are also snarking that Harry and Meghan are trying to make themselves look like royal refugees. The couple said they believed that the only way they could “survive” is if they left the UK for good. The royal couple allege that they were so hounded by the paparazzi that they couldn’t leave their home. But at the same time, there’s very little evidence that suggests the paparazzi were on their tail as a lot of the scenes that were used in Harry and Meghan come from stock footage.
That said, Harry and Meghan’s Megxit statement did not give a reason for the decision to step back as senior royals. Days after the decision, they issued a warning over harassment by paparazzi photographers. That echoed criticism from 2019 when Harry said he felt his wife had faced “bullying” from some tabloids similar to that faced by his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a 1997 car crash while trying to escape paparazzi photographers.
