King Charles III Won't Strip Harry And Meghan's Titles Despite Controversial Netflix Docuseries

According to sources close to the monarchy, it is highly improbable that King Charles III would ever revoke Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal titles regardless of how damning the couple’s Netflix docuseries may be.

Will King Charles III STRIP Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Titles Following Controversial Netflix Docuseries?

The couple were granted the titles on their wedding day in 2018. However, critics of the royal duo have suggested that their privileges should be taken away after the episodes of their Netflix series, which were released this month, highlighted their stressful life inside the palace walls.

And one of those critics included none other than Piers Morgan himself. In a post on Twitter, he said: “King Charles needs to strip these two poisonous rats of all remaining titles and ties to the Royal Family and needs to do it fast before they destroy the monarchy.”

Nevertheless, this may not happen due to the following reasons. First of all, if the titles were removed, this would most likely destroy relations forever. Secondly, the couple are still likely to have some royal titles even if they are stripped.

If the Sussexes were to have their titles taken away, Markle would still be given a different designation, which is in line with royal protocol; Princess Henry. As per the rule, only those who are born into the firm can use their original names. Meanwhile, a woman who becomes a princess through marriage adopts her husband’s surname.

That is why the removal of the title is unlikely to happen. The following comments confirmed as much: “Stripping their title is not something the king would likely ever consider … mostly because it would be too petty and punitive.

“It would only lead to the Sussexes claiming that it was a retaliatory action and proof they were never wanted in the royal family.” As long as Harry and Meghan continue to have the title, they will have some leverage.
