A survey conducted on 1,677 citizens of the United Kingdom revealed that only a third of the population have a favourable outlook on Prince Harry.
Harry And Meghan’s Popularity Declining Rapidly Following Latest Poll
The poll was conducted at the same time as the release of the contentious Netflix documentary series featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. The study revealed that Harry’s rating fell to -26, decreasing 13 points from the prior month, which was his least favorable score to date.
This implies that only 33 percent of the individuals surveyed have a positive perspective of him, as compared to 59 percent who have a negative opinion. In the meantime, there has been a decrease in the favourability of Meghan, with a mere 25 percent of people having a positive opinion of her and 64 percent having a negative opinion.
Nevertheless, according to the YouGov poll, the Sussexes are still viewed in a good light by the younger generation. About 50% of the 18-24 age group have a positive impression of Harry, whereas 38% have a negative one. Moreover, 40% of this group think positively of Meghan and 38% have an unfavourable opinion.
Other age groups, such as those between 25 to 49 (49 percent and 55 percent), 50 to 64 (6 percent and 73 percent) and those 65 and over (79 percent and 84 percent) all view the couple negatively, respectively.
The social media response was not one of surprise. A significant proportion of people felt that the Sussexes had failed to rebrand themselves in a positive way. And in the process of doing so, the comments were harsh on the couple.
One person wrote: “What’s there to admire about Harry and his puppeteer? They’re both insufferable, spouting woke nonsense in that ridiculous word salad language.” With Harry’s memoir also set to come out in the New Year, this could be make or break for the Sussexes.
