According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced that Archie Harrison is going to be a big brother. In an announcement on Sunday, Harry and the former Meghan Markle revealed that another baby royal is on the way.
“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement.
Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, shared the news on Valentine’s Day with a black-and-white photo showing her laying under a tree with her head on Harry’s lap and a visible baby bump.
“Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story being, and my friend, I am honored to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!” photographer Misan Harriman wrote in a caption with her photo.
And for those royal historians who have been keeping tabs, Princess Diana had also announced on Valentine’s Day in 1984 that she was expecting her second child, Prince Harry.
Meghan and Harry’s first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born in May 2019, a year after the couple’s royal wedding in Windsor.
He was born at the private Portland Hospital in London. There’s a good chance that the Duchess of Sussex will deliver her second baby in California. So far the couple have not announced their due date.
