Prince Andrew has settled his sexual assault case with Virginia Giuffre, according to reports.

The move has resulted in Virginia settling outside of court, which has brought an end to the long and drawn-out saga that has tarnished the Royal family.
Virginia, for her part, had accused Jeffrey Epstein of trafficking her, after which she was apparently forced to have sex with Andrew.
Although the amount of damages has not been disclosed, the very fact of the matter is that the resolution has been accepted by both sides which suggests that it was satisfactory.
In the court documents, it was said: “Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights.
“Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.”
These comments are significant for the following reasons. First of all, they do not address the actual allegations which suggested that Andrew was guilty.
Therefore, just because there has been a settlement, it does not necessarily mean that Andrew will be able to walk back into the public eye without any scrutiny. Secondly, some may argue with that by settling, underneath the sub text there was an admission of guilt.
After all, if someone was really innocent and believed that this was the case which Andrew always stressed, then there would be no reason to compromise on that belief.
As a result, the comments on social media were damning indeed. A significant proportion of people were outraged by Andrew’s conduct, and they did not hold back on expressing their sentiments in that regard.
One person wrote: “Payouts in my view are an admission of guilt. In this case the allegations are of a criminal nature.
“Prince Andrew should have been processed accordingly at the earliest and the Judiciary should have forced a trial.”
