Pink has paid her respects to her father, Jim Moore after it was confirmed that he had passed away.
Pink’s Father Has Passed Away
It was no secret that her father’s health was in a really bad way. In 2020, he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and immediately underwent chemotherapy.
While the cause of his death has not been officially confirmed, there is a high chance that the cancer became progressively worse and took his life. And his death has left a huge void in Pink’s life.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, she shared a black and white photo of herself with her father when she was young. They can be seen dancing together, as she has a smile on her face.
The post was captioned with the following comments: “Oh my love. Your precious heart. Oh, it’s so hard. Til forever.” His death has also left a huge void to other members of the family.
He left behind his wife, Grace Moore, as well as his grandchildren: Willow and Jameson. Although the news has come as a shock, particularly given that it has occurred during the pandemic, which has made life difficult in and of itself, looking back Pink will always have fond memories of him.
In a post on social media at the time of his diagnosis, she shared the many good memories that she had of her father. She remarked: “He has been my person all of my life. He has fought monsters in my closet and monsters that posed as principals in school buildings…I love you, daddy, sir.” Her father may no longer be here, but Pink will make sure that he lives on through her music.
He was instrumental in the success that she had by continuing to stand by her during the challenges that were coming her way. After all, the pair had collaborated on the song entitled ‘I Have Seen the Rain,’ which spoke about Jim’s time in the Vietnam war.
And there is no doubt that Pink will have something similar lined up about her father, given that he is no longer here. It is clearly a difficult time for her, but the fans will be there to support her every step of the way.
