Pink has opened up on how she never foresaw herself having kids.
Pink Never Saw Herself As A Mother
The singer, for her part, is a mother to two children: Willow and Jameson. While she is now happy at the prospect of being able to pass on her knowledge to the next generation, it was not on the top of her priorities with her career taking on a bigger role. During an interview with Carson Daly, Pink revealed how she never saw motherhood as an option.
She said: “I didn’t really want to be a mom. I didn’t want to be a mom. But it just wasn’t on my list of to-dos.” One of the reasons was because of her difficulties in actually getting pregnant. During her marriage to Carey Hart, Pink had suffered numerous miscarriages which she was very vocal about.
And it was only until five years later that Pink was able to conceive her child Willow. During a prior interview with US Today, Pink was very frank about the difficulties she went through. She stated: “You feel like your body hates you and like your body is broken, and it’s not doing what it’s supposed to do.
“So I think it’s important to talk about what you’re ashamed of, who you really are, and the painful s–t.” But looking back, all those hardships were worth it as she was able to cherish those precious moments. Pink revealed how her kids do not share a passion for her music, despite enjoying the journey of being on tour with their mother.
As for their hobbies, she was very vocal about their love for motorcycles. They take after Carey, who is a professional bike rider, but Pink does not mind that one bit. She was excited to be a part of that journey, where she could see her kids flourishing.
She noted: “[When] I had Willow and, man, that saying of ‘watching your heart go walking outside of your body. It’s truly how it feels.” Although Pink is enjoying the experience of having kids, she has no plans to have any more. She is focused on her career and making sure that her current kids are well looked after.
