It appears as though Piers Morgan has the same amount of friends, enemies, and frenemies in the U.S. as he does across the pond.
The controversial television personality did not waste any time firing back at his former CNN colleague Ana Navarro after she had a few things to say about his firing from Good Morning Britain.
As many fans know by now, Piers Morgan parted ways with Good Morning Britain after he was getting a lot of pushback for some comments he made about Meghan Markle’s claims against the royal family.
Piers Morgan Gets Nasty With Former CNN Colleague
Not only did he defend the royals by saying they are not racist, but he also said he didn’t believe Meghan’s claims of experiencing suicidal thoughts during her time at the palace.
With that said, Anna Navarro shared what she thought was the ultimate silver lining from the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“If no other change comes out of the #OprahMeghanHarry interview, that it lead to @piersmorgan getting fired again from yet another job, seems like a good outcome for the benefit of humanity,” Ana wrote.
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for Piers to fire back. “Hi Ana, I wasn’t fired by ITV (I’m still working for them) just as I wasn’t fired by CNN (I was offered a new 2-year deal – ask Jeff),” he wrote, referring to CNN President Jeff Zucker.
Piers continued, “But great to see you’re just as big a treacherous little back-stabber now as you were when I worked at CNN.”
Just last week Piers said that he is the latest victim of cancel culture following his departure from Good Morning Britain in which he not only said that he didn’t believe Meghan, but clashed with ITV weatherman Alex Beresford over the matter.
Alex basically called Piers Morgan out for having what some people believe is a slight obsession with Meghan.
