Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Patrick Mahomes, has come under fire from animal rights advocates this week after she spent time playing with a dolphin while on vacation.
Brittany saw the sea creature while vacationing in Hawaii with the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback a few days ago, but after she shared pictures of the encounter on Instagram on Monday, haters reacted angrily.
Numerous people have criticized the NFL star’s wife on social media for the outing and said that it was cruel to the dolphin. Later, PETA joined in as well.
“We know you love companion animals,” the activist org. wrote in a lengthy note on Brittany’s page, “but we hope to see you extend your compassion to marine life too.”

Brittany can be seen embracing, petting, and even kissing the dolphin in her images. She pulled her 2-year-old into the water to get close to the sea monster at one point during her swim with it.
All of that was unhealthy for the dolphin, PETA informed Brittany in its message, adding, “These types of interactions are dangerous for them AND us.”
“Ever snuggled a 400lbs dolphin?” is what Brittany’s Instagram captions read, showing that she didn’t think she had done anything wrong. She also included a heart-eyed emoji.
Since the drama began to unfold, she took down the post and right now there is no indication that it will be coming back up. From our perspective, she didn’t do anything wrong, and swimming with dolphins is on many people’s bucket lists.
The way that everyone dogpiled on her seems a bit ridiculous, but here we are. We will keep you up to date if there’s anymore on the situation, and what her response will be to everything.
