As we all know, Bob Saget was found dead in a hotel room just 24 hours ago. In a fate we would have never suspected of TV’s beloved Danny Tanner (the character he played on Full House) one would have thought that Saget’s last moments would have been at least surrounded by family, but as it was, he was alone in a hotel room on Jan. 9th around 4 PM, found unresponsive by authorities, after having performed stand-up on Jan. 8th.
His last social media message read, “Okay, I loved tonight’s show in Jacksonville. Really nice audience, lots of positivity. Happened last night in Orlando last night at the Hard Rock Live too. Very appreciative and fun audiences.” and even added that he was looking forward to an upcoming show at the Palm Beach Improv.

He said in this tweet that he was actually traveling around shooting a comedy special and said that he was “addicted” to performing stand-up. His last words were literally “Peace out.” around 4 PM the Ritz Carlton Grand Lakes put in a call to authorities about an unresponsive man, and unfortunately, that man was Saget.
He was 65 years old. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that there were no signs of foul play and no signs of drug use found in the hotel room where Saget was. As for an actual cause of death, that will be up to the medical examiner to decide. The autopsy and toxicology report will take 4-6 weeks to come back.
Saget’s death comes as a shocking one because it seems that so far 2022 is taking no prisoners. If 2021 took Betty White (or rather, Betty White took 2021 out on the way with her, we’ll believe that instead) then it seems that 2022 is not playing around.
We’ll always have Full House, thanks to Hulu and various networks who show the reruns, so Saget will never leave our homes, but we have to admit that this one has us scratching our heads because we hadn’t heard that Saget was even ill or had any sort of medical issue.
Then again… sometimes when it’s just your time, it’s just your time… but was it really Saget’s time or did something preventable kill him? We at DSD will keep you updated. Stay tuned!!!
