Fresh from her and Prince Harry’s quasi-royal tour of Nigeria, Meghan Markle finally received the kind of idolization and unearned praise she’s been dreaming of since she married into the royal family.
Nigerians Referred To Meghan Markle As “Princess Meghan”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle presented themselves as if they were representing the royal family. Nigerians called her “Princess Meghan,” and she didn’t bother to correct them.
Meghan Markrle discovered she was 43 percent Nigerian, which made this African country fall deeply in love with her, and the Duchess now ever so ignorantly refers to Nigeria as “her country.”
Meghan acted like she was praising the people of Nigeria when, in reality, she was shamelessly promoting herself and the “alternative royal family” she has with Harry.
The Duchess spoke to the Women in Leadership Summit in Abuja. After she exclaimed that Nigerian women were
“brave, resilient, courageous, powerful, and beautiful,”
she went on to say,
“It’s the most flattering thing to be in that company, to be in your company. I hope I can do justice to the role model that I think so many young women deserve to have.”
It was nauseating to picture Harry and Meghan in Nigeria, passing themselves off as British royalty and defying the late Queen Elizabeth’s wishes, as they were clearly using their royal ties for self-promotion.
Then, Meghan endlessly babbled on a story about her daughter, Lilibet.
“Our daughter, Lili, she’s about to turn three. A few weeks ago, she looked at me, and she could just see the reflection in my eyes. And she said, ‘Mama, I see me in you.’ She was talking really literally. But I hung onto those words in a very different way. And I thought, yes, I do see me and you, and you see me and you, but as I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”
“The First Of Many Memorable Trips”
Meghan knows how to make herself the focus of the conversation, no matter the situation. Not that much of this agonizing fiddle-faddle made any sense.
Throughout their tour, Meghan smiled, posed for numerous selfies and pictures, and soaked up the adulation like she was on the red carpet. All the while, she constantly reminds everyone that she’s 43 percent Nigerian.
During all that shameless promotion of “Brand Sussex,” there was no public mention of her cancer-stricken relatives. King Charles and Kate Middleton continue to recover from their respective cancer treatments.
Even though Harry and Meghan used their royal connections to gain the adoration and the applause of “Princess Meghan’s” loyal subjects, they still couldn’t be bothered to mention the actual royal family during their trip.
Harry, who fought and lost his taxpayer-funded security in the UK, had government-funded security in Nigeria. The security was for him and his wife, even though they have millions of dollars, and most people in Nigeria are impoverished.
Thanks to the warm welcome Harry and Meghan received from the people of Nigeria; they hinted there would be more visits in the future. They thanked the country for “the first of many memorable trips.” Is it any wonder royal experts called this “The royal tour in all but name?”
