Of course, it didn’t take very long for ‘General Hospital’ fans to respond to Britt’s sudden departure from the show. Some comments have included, “Valentini’s instincts are even worse than I suspected; there’s a breath of fresh air that washes over the screen every time Kelly is on, and to not use her ON CONTRACT reinforces just what kind of no good executive producer he is,” along with, “Kelly Thiebaud is an actress I’ve grown to appreciate and genuinely feel like the producers at ABC are giving her the short end of the stick; would be wonders if another soap did pick her up, or she headed to a primetime soap, like Dynasty, and just devoured the scripts with her talent.”

There really wasn’t a purpose of her character coming back other than the fans wanted her back. If you delete her scenes does any storyline change? That said, in an overcrowded canvas, you’d think TPTB would want to actually keep someone the audience wants to see.”
With that said, Kelly did hint that she might possibly come back in the future, or at least after this coronavirus lockdown is lifted. The actress wrote on her Twitter account, “Currently I am not on any shows as a series regular. I’m just bouncing around where the work takes me. Thank you for welcoming me again back to Port Charles. Always a fun visit and let’s hope there is more to come. Love you all! Stay safe.”
