If you have followed the Alex Murdaugh case, you know that it has twists and turns galore. The South Carolina attorney is now facing even more charges and more and more family secrets are coming out. He is now facing allegations that he stole money from his clients and was laundering money on top of it all.
True Crime: Murdaugh’s Charges
Now that all of this information is coming out, Murdaugh is now facing allegations in five different counties in South Carolina. He is now facing charges of four counts of breach of trust with fraudulent intent, seven counts of laundering money, seven-counts of obtaining signature or property with false pretenses, eight counts of crimes on computers, and one count of forgery. The list is huge and it looks like he laundered about $4,853,488.09!
True Crime: New Charges for Alex Murdaugh
Not only has he been accused of laundering this huge amount of money, he has also been accused of misappropriating $3.4million. These charges are in Beaufort County, South Carolina. This is the money that he kept from the estate of his housekeeper. Her children are working hard to fight for this money since they feel that she was not treated the way that they promised her.
The story of the Murdaugh’s all started back in September when Alex hired his cousin to shoot him in the head. He wanted it to look like a suicide and he just wanted his son to get$10 million in life insurance. When we flashback to June, however we will the death of his wife and another son at their estate. Murdaugh was a person of interest in this murder and after it came out that he hired his cousin, things just got more complicated.
Not only were the murders of his family members lingering, but the law firm where he worked was also accusing him of embezzling money. They ended up firing him and then sued him. They started an investigation against him and it looks as if the charges just keep adding up.
Murdaugh blames all of his actions on his opoid addiction and he is currently being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. It looks as if Murdaugh’s remaining son won’t get that life insurance after all, but he will inherit a world of problems and drama all started by his father.
The twists and turns in the case are insane and we feel that there will be more added on as the days go by.
