Netflix’s ‘Young Wallander’ is right around the corner, and today they released an official trailer showcasing it. Needless to say, it looks great, and we’ll get to see the famous detective in his first career case. The actor they have for Wallander looks to be absolutely perfect, and even with just a teaser and trailer, it seems they found the right man for the job!

You should watch the official trailer below that was uploaded to Netflix’s official YouTube channel with the following description,

“Uncover the case that made the man. Kurt Wallander (Adam Pålsson) fresh out of police academy witnesses a brutal crime and is pulled into solving it under the wing of superintendent Hemberg (Richard Dillane).”

For those who aren’t sure who Wallander is, he is a Swedish detective who struggles with his own demons. In the teaser trailer last month, we saw snippets of a young Wallander beginning to face those demons already, and throughout this series, I’m sure we’ll get a glimpse of it.

‘Wallander’ was famously played by the incredible Kenneth Branaugh in four seasons of the BBC program. It’s going to be some big shoes to fill, but it looks like Pålsson is up to the challenge!

Netflix’s ‘Young Wallander’ premieres September 3.
