Netflix’s ‘Freaks – You’re One Of Us’ is coming next month and puts a unique spin on the superhero genre. All their lives, these adults have lived with superpowers, raising families, working normal jobs, and going on about their daily lives. However, a time as come that they cannot live among the normal anymore, and must use their powers for good. Well, mostly good.
You can check out the official trailer below that was uploaded to Netflix’s official YouTube channel with the following description,
“Wendy (Cornelia Gröschel), a young working class mom, realizes that years of medication have suppressed her latent supernatural powers. She meets a stranger, Marek (Wotan Wilke Möhring), with the same background, and finds out that her co-worker, Elmar (Tim Oliver Schultz), is also similarly gifted. Question is: what will she do with her new powers?”

One of the things that stick out in ‘Freaks – You’re One of Us’ are the adult protagonists, which is something that a lot of viewers pointed out in the comments. “Finally a supernatural drama with real adults and not “teen looking adults”.”, “Finally! An adult protagonist! Not some highschooler who’s bullied and is apparently misunderstood.”, and “It’s listed as “Freaks – You’re One of Us” on Netflix, in case you wanted to add it to your list now. There is a completely different movie called Freaks on Netflix”.
