Netflix’s ‘Last Chance U’ is moving on from football to its first season of basketball. Now, the award-winning docu-series will follow the East Los Angeles JUCO players and their coach, John Mosley. While there’s a lot of hype for the new season, some viewers are wishing they still have football.

Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following caption,

“The fan-favorite Emmy® award-winning docu-series, Last Chance U, returns to Netflix for its premiere season of Basketball. Get ready for a dynamic and intimate look at the lives of the East Los Angeles JUCO players and their coach, John Mosley.”

Viewers commented on the switch to basketball, “I’ll miss the football version. Especially the first two seasons…But I’m excited for this too!”, “As a basketball player I love this but I gotta admit the football version was so good? hope this is just as good”, “They coulda made a separate basketball series didnt have to take away football”, “Really excited about this!” and “Even though i really liked football seasons, i’m pretty excited for this one. In football it gets kind of frustrating to follow a handfull of players in a team that has a few dozens. With Basketball we’ll really get the feeling of what a Season with this team is like”

There seems to be a mixed reaction, but most viewers are looking forward to the basketball version regardless. I think it will still stand up to the other seasons and be just as good, so if you’re a sports fan, you should definitely still have ‘Last Chance U’ on your watchlist.

Netflix’s ‘Last Chance U’ premieres next month on March 10.

What do you think? Are you going to watch this? Would you rather they have two series, one for football, one for basketball? Let us know in the comments below.
