Netflix became the world’s best friend when, in March of last year, we were all sentenced to our couches to binge the pandemic away. Fast forward to a year later and while we are still in the midst of the pandemic, an old favorite looks to be coming back to keep us company once more.

Love Is Blind became a huge hit last year. When water-cooler gossip turned virtual, social media lit up with fans agog at match-ups (hey, did you know Jessica Batten was 34 and her fiancé Mark Cuevas was only 24?) and of course, break-ups (Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes seemed so #relationshipgoals!).

It only makes sense that the dating show, that matches contestants by allowing them to speak with each other in private pods- but with a wall in between them so they fall in love with their match’s personality, not their looks, would come back to Netflix for a second season.

And if you are one of the millions of fans of the show, you’ll be pleased to hear they are simultaneously filming season 2 and 3!

Season 1 wasn’t only a ratings success but two of the couples– Amber Pike and Matt Barnett and  Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed married at the end of the ‘experiment’ and remain so to this day!

As with all things reality, Covid-19 shut down shooting of season 2, however, host Vanessa Lachey spoke to Hollywood Life and assured us that seasons 2 and 3 will be dropped on the streaming platform ASAP.

The best part for this show’s format is the built in quarantine as the first two weeks are pretty much spent socially distant in the pods. However, once the couples meet, it usually gets quite physical, quite fast. I guess 2 weeks of foreplay will do that to you!

Unfortunately Vanessa, who co-hosts with hubby Nick Lachey didn’t provide any further details, i.e. how many couples would participate this time or even an estimated premiere date, but at least we know it’s coming…and it seems we won’t have the huge wait again for the following season!

Keep watching this space for when we get more details about Love Is Blind season 2 (and 3!)
