The new dating series, Love is Blind, is about singles who are looking to fall in love and get engaged. Sounds pretty simple right? What’s the catch? They have never seen the other person! The show basically takes the Bachelor, 90 Day Fiancé, and Married at First Sight to put it all together.
This is not the first reality show for Netflix. In fact, the last one they did, The Circle, got some great reviews. Love is Blind is will begin February 13 and consists of ten episodes. In the first episode, we will see the contestants in pods where they have been completely isolated from the outside world. In the pods, they will talk to those who could be love interests and this will help them to determine who to choose.

Once they have made a decision based on questions, conversations, and overall feelings about that person, the show gets really exciting. “They will talk to a stream of potential love interests and when a meaningful connection is made, they propose and then lay their eyes on their fiancé for the first time”, said the producers.

Not everything works out the way we think it will though. After the proposal is made, the couple will go back to the outside world and see if they can really make it work. The couple has made emotional connections, but this will be the true test to see if they have a physical attraction to one another. Some couples will make it, but others will have a very bumpy start and not everyone will have their fairy tale wedding.
Another barrier that the couples have to face is what their families will think about their new fiancé. This can be tough for many of them because of their family beliefs about different cultures and occupations. Some families just don’t get how someone could marry a complete stranger and the couples have to deal with that too. This show will get intense and once you see how it all goes, you will be hooked!
