Netflix ‘Bridgerton’ Spoilers find that star Nicola Coughlan recently said that she couldn’t help but sweat while watching all of those steamy sex scenes of the hit Netflix series with her mom.
Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington in the Regency-period drama series admits that watching certain scenes from the show with her mom in the room has been a little bit embarrassing.
While on the Make It Reign podcast, Nicola said, “I knew pretty well how the episodes went and the amount of sexiness in them. When I showed her the first episode and Johnny Bailey’s bum appeared very quickly into episode one, she was like, ‘What is going on!'”

She continued, “I had to say, ‘It’s not my fault I didn’t write it, it’s romance novels and it’s a really important part of the story,’ but I was still in trouble.”
If that weren’t enough, Nicola said that Episode 6 was perhaps the most difficult one to get through with her family by her side.
“With Episode 6 I thought, ‘Oh my God what am I going to do? It’s non-stop shagging! I am going to be in so much trouble. I said, ‘Shagging,’ on the ‘Graham Norton Show’ and I was dead,” she continued.
Meanwhile, actress Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne Bridgerton on the hit series, said the same thing about watching Bridgerton with her mom, Coronation star Sally Dynevor.
“She is very proud and excited. I watched the show with the whole family, even the grandparents managed to watch it,” Phoebe said in an interview with Britain’s Daily Star.
However, she added, “I had to sit there and fast forward on high alert with the remote control. We managed it just about,” when it came to watching all of those steamy scenes.
