Netflix boss Bela Bajaria insists that the streaming giant is excited about the upcoming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle projects, as there has been much speculation concerning their obscene $100 million deal.
Bajaria Claims “With Love, Meghan” Will Be A “Hit”
Comedian John Mulaney took a brutal swipe at the Sussexes at a Netflix event where all the bosses were present.
Mulaney roasted them while promoting his latest Netflix project,
“Not since Harry and Meghan has Netflix given more money to someone without a specific plan.”
Rumors have been rampant that Netflix wants to part ways with the former royal couple. Unfortunately, their content has failed to captivate viewers and generated poor reviews.
What is peculiar is that in the PR brochure promoting Netflix’s most anticipated 2025 releases, the Duchess’s new show, “With Love, Meghan,” wasn’t part of the list.
Her cooking show and no other show were mentioned even once during Netflix’s presentation of the best upcoming projects this year.
When Ms. Bajaria was asked about “With Love, Meghan,” she claimed the new cooking and lifestyle series will be “a hit.”
When asked where Netflix “stands with the deal,” she responded,
“We have Meghan’s new show coming out, which is great.”
She described it as
“a great take on a lifestyle show and showcase for California, Montecito, and nature. It has really great takeaways.”
“I was like, Oh my God, I want to really do that pasta,”
She exclaimed.
“There’s really easy, great takeaways on life. I am really excited about that coming out.”
This was the first time a Netflix boss came forward. She confirmed that Harry and Meghan would continue to produce their projects.
“We Have So Many Exciting Things On The Slate”
The Sussexes are also set to produce a film adaption of the bestselling novel, “Meet Me At The Lake,” by Carley Fortune.
Meghan has been discussing this project for months without anything coming to fruition. Bajaria claims the project is still “in development” and has yet to be “greenlit for production.”
This familiar song and dance goes back to November 2023. Meghan strolled down the red carpet at Variety’s Power of Women gala.
When asked what was coming down the road for Meghan and Harry, she excitedly responded,
“We have so many exciting things on the slate. I can’t wait until we announce them. But I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it too, it’s really fun.”
These pointless statements suggest they have no true vision, and their laziness, inability to draw viewers in, and lack of experience show.
Bajaria didn’t have much else to offer. She said,
“We have things in development. Everyone is excited about what is coming. I am really excited for her show.”
“With Love, Meghan” was set to air in January, but the date was moved back to March 4th due to the LA wildfires.
Ultimately, Netflix asserts that they will stand by Harry and Meghan. When her new cooking show flops, like Harry’s “Polo” docuseries did, we can only imagine the head honchos will concur with Spotify executive Bill Simmons, who referred to the Sussexes as “f***ing grifters.”
