NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) went a bit too far. We guess we shouldn’t be too surprised. He is a villain, after all. Or, he definitely used to be until Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) came along. Unfortunately, it seems that change is a fragile one. Xander’s on a slippery slope right now, and he needs to make up his mind. Here’s what you need to know.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Turning Point
So, the Xander we see now is a sort of different animal than the one we were first introduced to. He’d been stealing that infamous recording of Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) confession. Eventually, he’d use that to trap her into a marriage she didn’t want. But first, he had to do the typical comic villain move and monologue about the recording in the most cheesy way possible. It gave us an “eh” impression and the actions with Nicole didn’t help.
However, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate he met Sarah. Things changed, as he decided he wanted to be a better person for her sake. Love can be a powerful motivator, and we love the story was more about him making a choice to change, rather than Sarah thinking she can change him. He’d eventually win her over with the way he stepped in during her pregnancy, as well as his willingness to play her baby daddy. Unfortunately, things went bad.

We all know the story by now. Car accident. Death. Baby swap. Big reveal. It was, and is, still a mess that isn’t even close to being sorted out. But Xander did something we’re still giving him side-eye about.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Going Too Far
Now, we’re tempted to give him just a little slack. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal his whole world just got ripped out from under him at the last second. Literally, he was two seconds away from being married to Sarah when she called him out and left. We also have a lot of sympathy for how much he loves Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and how much it obviously broke his heart to tell her the truth. Seriously, you could see it in his eyes. That doesn’t excuse what he did today, though.
During a flight with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) to look for Sarah, things got heated. Brady isn’t exactly willing to forgive and forget stealing his kid. And he didn’t give any you-know-whats about Xander’s reasons for the switch. He rightly said it was wrong, period. But Xander just can’t help being Xander, it seems. In a mind-boggling move, he revealed Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) original plan to steal Sarah’s fetus. It was a bit of a childish, cowardly, “But so-and-so did it, too!” kind of argument that has no real weight. Yes, Kristen would be wrong if she’d gone through with that. But at the time, Sarah was dead set against having that baby. It’s honestly not the same as taking a child from a parent that actually wanted it from the word go. So, what’s next?
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: His Future’s Not So Bright
Obviously, Xander isn’t going to be winning any Salem popularity contests any time soon. He might even be facing charges, along with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). That’s going to look great for Titan. We think it’s safe to say Sarah won’t forgive him any time soon, especially once Kristen has the baby back. So, really, his only hope right now is leaving and starting over somewhere else. Knowing how the Salem pariahs operate, though, he’ll likely stick around.
