NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal there’s more to Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) than meets the eye. We know from the Fall Preview video that he’ll be revealed to be a hitman. However, we have some problems with the way this whole thing is playing out. Especially Wednesday. Let’s take a look at why and our take on him.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Are you kidding?
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) wants a job at Titan. Bad. But it seems she also likes the idea of screwing Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) over just as much, if not more. Case in point: she’s willing to help Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) expose Gabi and Jake. If, of course, he hands Gabi Chic to her. Which she’ll, of course, re-name. That part works.
However, we can’t with the “how” of her part of the deal. Apparently, her uncle keeps meticulous records, which will prove that Jake was involved in funny business. First off, if she’s being serious here, we can’t. What gangster would create a huge paper trail of who they hire and why? At least, for their illegal dealings. Sure, the front stuff would be that way. But not the kind of thing Ava is talking about.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Even worse
Making this even worse, Ava called her cousin and named names on a phone message. We can’t with the idea she’s going to possibly discuss this all on the phone, and that she gave a name of someone he supposedly hired for illegal dealings. Even worse, we can’t believe a head of something like this would just hand over the paperwork, even to Ava.
Especially not if she has to explain why she wants it, which she should have to. Unless, of course, she lies. But we don’t see her family taking kindly to that, even if they’re just planning to blackmail Jake and Gabi without actually turning anything over to the police. It seems any true head of an organization like that would think that’s too dangerous.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: On Jake
As for Jake, we think he lied to Gabi. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate his past came up in conversation, and she asked outright if he’d ever killed anyone. We honestly think that Ava will produce proof of the opposite. However, we see Jake as a lot more innocent now that he appears. We think he might have actually done the enforcer thing and even killed.
But we also think he hated it and did it because there wasn’t a choice. He seemed genuinely uncomfortable with Gabi’s question and everything related to it. Not only that, but much like others in town, Jake seems to think invoking bad times of the past is a bad idea. As if just talking about his time in the mob will invite trouble back into his life. We think his fears will be more than justified in the future.
