NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) are not ready to give up on Titan just yet. Let’s talk about their latest ploy and how this led to one of Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) best moments.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The plan
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) out of the picture at Titan, Gabi and Jake thought they had an opening. We can’t blame them. It looks bad for Titan right now. As Gabi would eventually point out, their stock is in the toilet and it’s apparently the perception Titan is a dinosaur company. However, Victor is a proud and stubborn man.
While he looked very defeated through a lot of this conversation, he also had that trademark Victor sass. He actually called them idiots for even thinking he’d give them the job, and even more so for offering to keep Gabi Chic under the Titan umbrella.
It made sense to offer that, as Gabi Chic is profitable for the company. But people should know better than to underestimate Victor.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The fake out
This was a great bit of writing. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate it made sense for Victor to look defeated, yet a bit defiant during the conversation. Again, things didn’t look good for Titan. And we do believe Victor knows this. However, he didn’t survive this long being as idiotic as he accused his potential new CEOs of being.
The whole conversation was a put-on. Victor baited these two into offering a seat on the DiMera Board of Directors in exchange for talking about making them CEOs. As soon as they left, he said it was like shooting fish in a barrel. We love it! We are seriously going to be sad the day this guy is no longer on the show.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What we see
So, Gabi and Jake think they scored. And we don’t doubt they could possibly get him on the board. But we think they messed up bad by accepting his offering to talk about it after they deliver the goods. Once Victor gets what he wants, he’s under no obligation to hire them. And he honestly probably shouldn’t. After knowing they plotted to get rid of Philip and take over, why should he trust them? And we don’t think he will.
We think Gabi’s best move is to take the name she’s got with Gabi Chic and go the independent route. And who knows? She might just do that, should Victor do as we think and not keep his word. Working with others—and scheming—hasn’t worked out well for her, so being her own person business-wise is the better move.
