NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers for the week of January 3rd reveal we’re heading for a crazy ride in the new year. Besides the reveal Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is possessed by the devil now, we’ll see Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) upset. Plus, families gather for the holiday while Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) makes a huge mistake. Let’s take a look at what’s ahead.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: DiMera trouble
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal the DiMeras are off to a great start in the new year. The promo opens with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) wishing someone well. However, we couldn’t help but get a sarcastic vibe off of it. Could someone already be enjoying his new solo CEO status a bit too much? We’ll see.
But even worse is the family marking the holiday together. Johnny is now possessed, so we can’t imagine anything good coming of such a presence at a holiday party. Especially when it’s at the DiMera mansion, considering their connection to the original possession story. We think a couple of returning relatives might wish they’d stayed gone…

In other news, Ava recently learned the truth about Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Now, we’re guessing she’ll probably stew a bit and pretend nothing is wrong. At least, for the holiday. However, that doesn’t look like it will last long. In the weekly preview, there’s a shot of her smashing a cake in his face. At the same time, it sounds like she tells him to “shove it.” We do not envy Rafe right now, and Nicole probably isn’t going to fare too well, either. We guess good Ava was fun while she lasted…
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Soul mates?
Finally, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate Sami thought she dodged a bullet when she learned EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) kidnapped her. What she doesn’t know is, Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo) actually did it and set up EJ to take the fall. So, what would Sami do after learning the horrible “truth”? Run to Lucas, of course.
Sami really should get some professional help to make better life choices. This week, she’ll go on about Lucas being her soulmate. Lucas, to his credit, will be smart enough to wonder if this is for real, as she always runs back to EJ. She’ll give him a kiss in response to prove how serious she is. We really can’t wait to see her explode when the whole kidnapping plot is exposed.
