NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the show’s bringing another character back. In the process, it’ll solve a mystery while also giving more insight into Evan Frears (Brock Kelly). But we think there’s a much more interesting side to this story. Given this character’s past, we think things will get real. And fast. Here’s what you need to know.

So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ indicate this character hasn’t been seen since around 2016. This is at least a year or two before we first tuned in. That means we only have the character’s wiki fandom page and other similar things to go by for this. That said, we think the information paints an interesting picture.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Orpheus returns!
Stefano DiMera’s (Stephen Nichols) return in Steve Johnson’s (Nichols) body has been a bit underwhelming. Evan hasn’t really quite connected with us yet, and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is more on the Godly side now. That leaves us a lack of good villains, and Kristin was so-so before her recent turn-around. We made no secret her man obsession being behind most of her actions was a bit weak for us. That’s why we’re intrigued by the idea of Orpheus (George DelHoyo) returning.
According to the character information, he was second only to classic Stefano in the dangerous, effective villain role. We also love that he was formerly ISA, and is described as extremely intelligent. It’s about time for a character like that to shake things up. So, how’s he returning?

It seems he’s actually Evan’s father. When Evan runs into him today, it’s the answer to a mystery—where’s David? Clearly, he’s been holed up with Grandpa, and that’s why Evan was so confident the child’s in good hands. It also gives us more insight into Evan and will hopefully make him more interesting.
Growing up with a guy who rivals OG Stefano in evil and cunning has to have an effect on someone. We now see why he’s a criminal Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley) didn’t want around her kid. It also shows us how he’d be capable of murder, as well as letting an innocent guy die for his crime. We also imagine it explains the entitlement we see in Evan. We imagine they have a good relationship and Orpheus spoiled him. Otherwise, we don’t think Evan would’ve turned to him. Should be interesting to see these two interact.

We think this return is bad news for some, good news for others. Obviously, Evan should benefit from a cunning, evil father who has a habit of getting out of bad situations. Orpheus will probably manage to get Evan’s case thrown out, which will be bad for Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). On the plus side, this could also work out for Ben. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate he and Clyde Weston (James Read) were allies. We don’t know how in touch they are, but if they are and Clyde finds out, he might be able to get Orpheus to help his son.
On another note, Salem might benefit from his return in one respect. According to the character information, he was once ISA and has a lot of beef with John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve. In addition, Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) was apparently responsible for Orpheus’ enemies finding him once. This could finally bring something really entertaining and worthwhile to the Stefano return. Imagine is Stefano is still in Salem and Orpheus sees “Steve”? That will be quite the confrontation. And we’re not sure it’ll be any better if he learns it’s really Stefano.
After all, Andre is said to be the most like his father, and they were both big-time villains in town. This scream a “this town isn’t big enough” scenario that will have a huge impact on the town.
