NBC ‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) has recently come to the conclusion that Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) is actually late husband Stefan DiMera back from the dead and just won’t let the idea go. Now, we all know that this is Salem and indeed, stranger things have happened and been true, so hey she could be onto something here, but let’s examine the facts. Point number one is Stefan got shot right in the windpipe, right in the throat, he could not breathe properly on his own. I am not sure that reconstructive surgery could have even been worth it, either way the only one who could have saved him would have been Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) but he made a comment saying that it couldn’t be done at the “butcher shop” that was University hospital, which just amused me to death, but whatever.
Point number 2 being that Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) donated his heart, his heart, the heart right out of his body, to Julie Williams. She accused Dr. Rolf of replacing Stefan’s own heart with the heart of a pig which in her opinion would explain so much of his current behavior (like perhaps forcing her to faceplant on a concrete floor) but he told her that she has quite the imagination so I am assuming the pig’s heart theory to be false and/or it couldn’t be done. (And come on we all kinda knew that.) Since this is ‘Days of Our Lives’ and not Once Upon a Time I am going to assume that people walking around without their hearts is physically impossible so that is not even a possibility.

However, since Gabi seems so hung up on this idea and determined to prove that Jake is indeed Stefan, then why doesn’t she just ask Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) on tips about how to go about proving his identity? After all, didn’t Nicole use sneaky tactics in order to get a DNA test that proved that baby Rachel Isabella Black was not in fact Sarah Horton’s (Lindsey Godfrey) baby, but instead Kristen DiMera’s (Stacey Haiduk)? I mean, all Gabi would have to do would be ask Nicole how to sneakily get a DNA sample, and then she would be all set. Which begs the question, would it be a DNA match, or is Jake just a dead-ringer for Stefan? They say everybody has a twin, and I’m inclined to believe that even Salem would be bound by the laws of logic here. So he may look like Stefan but I think that’s where the resemblance ends – but that’s just my speculation, I may be proven wrong! Stay tuned!!!
