NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) is in a mess. Calista Lockhart (Cady Huffman), her former sister-in-law, showed up to cause trouble. She accused Bonnie of killing her husband and threatened to tell all to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth). Unless, of course, Bonnie coughs up some big cash. Let’s take a look at why we think this girl is heading for trouble. And Bonnie, too.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Denial
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ reveal Bonnie supposedly has that dark secret in her past. But she claimed to Calista she didn’t do it. Well, at least not the way Calista says it went down. We’re not sure what to believe here. After everything Bonnie did in the past, it seems like there is a chance. Especially since she did apparently go to jail for another killing. Although, Justin knew about that one and the circumstances surrounding it.
However, Bonnie seems to want to go the easy route and find a way to pay this girl off and make her leave. That’s a bad idea, in our opinion. No secret stays that way in Salem and Bonnie is just buying time. Eventually, the truth will come out and Justin will either understand or not. Keeping it from him, however, makes it more likely he won’t. So, Bonnie did her best.

As part of the plan, ‘Days of Our Lives’ indicate she asked for a blank check for the wedding catering. Unfortunately for her, Justin already had that covered. So, Bonnie was left with a perfect excuse she can’t use and no motivation to make up another. That didn’t sit well with Calista.
She didn’t like the lack of effort or the idea to wait until after the wedding. Because, as Bonnie reasoned, she’d likely get a checking account opened for her. Yeah, Calista isn’t waiting on a possible future payout after Bonnie gets her wedding.
That’s when she happened across Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerrigel) in an argument over money. That gave Calista a new idea, but we think it’s a fail waiting to happen. This girl is new in town, and that puts her at a disadvantage.

So, our initial impression of Calista is she’s small-time con, poor white trash who cares more about a potential payday than justice for her late husband. If she had money or any semblance of power, she wouldn’t need to blackmail Bonnie and try hitting her up for space in the Kiriakis mansion. Now, it’s obvious she wants to run a con to get that money out of Xander’s hands. This girl has no idea who she’s dealing with.
A guy who’s kidnapped women, smuggled blood diamonds, and nearly murdered two people for a payday recently probably won’t be intimidated by the likes of Calista. And we like to think he’s smart enough (at least when sober) not to fall for another con’s tricks. So, if Calista or Bonnie tried, he should recognize what’s going on immediately and act accordingly.
Meanwhile, let’s look at the other guy Calista might want to run a con on—or have Bonnie do it. EJ has money and power we think Calista has never even dreamed of. After all, he used a lot of influence to get Xander out of his fake confession.
And he is the son of one of the most notorious and feared bad guys in Salem. So, we think he’ll be even less intimidated or vulnerable to scam than Xander. And we think EJ would be even more likely to take drastic actions if Bonnie or Calista become a bother. So, Calista might be better off if she left Salem while she still can. She’s clearly out of her league.
