NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the situation with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) couldn’t have turned out any more different than we planned on. Well, partly. Let’s talk about where things went as expected, and where it took a crazy turn we didn’t see coming. But we’re loving the craziness of it.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: As planned

First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal things went pretty much as we thought when it comes to Dr. Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) death. They have decided to go the way of self-destruction by hiding the fact Snyder died.

In fact, Xander had them sneaking his body out of the house, much to Gwen’s obvious shock and discomfort. However, there were moments before they actually started their cover-up that were great, and we have to give the writers and actors props.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Awesome scenes

We may not always agree with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), or even like the character much. But she’s slowly winning us over with little moments.

She arrived home from taste-testing the famous donut recipe for Sweet Bits to find an unconscious man on the couch and Gwen and Xander looking a little awkward. Julie demanded to know what was going on, then promptly shoved at Dr. Snyder to make him get up. Because she was not going to have any more strays sleeping on her sofa.

The barely-hidden panic of Xander and Gwen was funny enough. But then Julie incorrectly guessed the guy was passed out on something. As she called Xander some choice names, she assumed he was drunk like Xander had been, only worse.

He did some good work covering up for this, and the back and forth between them all was great. And we’re amazed Julie didn’t wear out that new heart with her ranting and raving.

It was especially nice when Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) arrived before they could get rid of the body. They had to pretend to be watching a cartoon together.

One Jack can’t join them in. We loved his reaction to their excuse for that: “It’s a cartoon. I think I can figure things out.” Eventually, he left, content that the two are getting along. He has no idea how different the situation is.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Opening her eyes

Finally, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Gwen might have pulled some crazy stuff, but this has been a revelation for her when it comes to Xander. His solution and the way he handled the body caused her obvious discomfort in the idea he must have done this before. So, we’re thinking she might be a bit guarded for a bit around this guy.

However, Xander did appear to be genuinely unnerved by what happened. So, we think she’s going to end up seeing a whole other side to this guy. And it could lead to them getting together at some point.

We’d personally love to see it, especially after the way Gwen handled him when he had that letter opener to Dr. Snyder’s throat. She might actually be a good influence on him, and vice versa.
