NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the DiMera family is one of our favorites. They bring the fun, but there’s a lot of trouble with them as well. Even those only related by marriage can’t seem to catch a break.

We can’t help but wonder if the sins of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) are just too great and have marked this family. Let’s take a look at the recent history.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Regrets

So, we’re late to the party. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Stefano was gone for a while before we started watching. Our only real exposure to the character is through Stephen Nichols’ recent portrayal as a basically possessed Steve Johnson.

However, we’ve seen and heard enough from the characters to know that he is both loved and feared by the majority of the town. This is a guy who has brought a lot of mayhem into the lives of Salem’s residents, and we wonder if there is any hope for those he left behind. Let’s take a look at some recent cases…

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Exhibit A

First, there’s Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). Now, from what we’ve seen and heard, he seems like a decent guy. He definitely wasn’t okay with his father’s past, and he also wasn’t okay with Stefano’s attempt to cheat death by taking another man’s body. However, he does have a weak spot—DiMera Enterprises.

Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) expressed concerns a couple of times about him getting involved in anything to do with the family business. However, he hasn’t always turned those opportunities down. We can’t help but wonder if, at some point, this will be a bigger problem than he knows.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Exhibit B

Then, there’s Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Again, he seems to be more above-board than his father, and definitely doesn’t approve of the things he did. However, Chad seems to have a bit of a self-destructive streak.

Despite the fact Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) was telling the truth previously about not falling back into her DiD, he didn’t believe her. Instead, he chose to believe what Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) told him. Even though she was hardly an unbiased source.

Cut to over a year later, and it’s the same story. He barely knows Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). And he got several warnings from Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). Even so, he chose to believe Gwen’s manipulations and allowed her to trick him into bed.

And how he’s going to be a father again, damaging his relationship with Abigail even more than his sleeping with her did. Will he remember this lesson, should someone try to frame Abigail again? We’ll see.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Exhibit C

There’s also Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). Now, he’s not a child of Stefano, but he is his grandson. His mother, Lexie Carver (Renee Jones) was Stefano’s daughter. And from what we’re reading about her history, he’s been following in her less-than-ethical footsteps lately by taking off with a married amnesiac (Ciara Brady, played by Victoria Konefal).

And he recently had a failed relationship with Chanel DuPree (Precious Way), who recently tried to get back with him so she wouldn’t have to work. It doesn’t look like things are working out so well for him, either.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The kicker

We’re leaving this one for last, because it’s perhaps the greatest example of the potentially cursed nature of this family: Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Sure, she’s his adopted daughter, but she grew up learning from the best.

And it seems every time Kristen tries to turn her life around, something happens. Like the baby swap and stabbing Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) after already having pushed Haley Chen (Thia Megia) to her death accidently.

Currently, she’s serving time for the stabbing of Victor, which got worse after a brief jail break. Now, she’s at it again. She switched places with Susan Banks (Haiduk) in an effort to keep Brady Black.

However, she’s having to go to extremes, kidnapping two women so far to keep her secret. And she’s blackmailing a third. We just don’t see this ending well for her.

Eventually Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) or someone else will find out. Someone she can’t just silence, and when the whole truth comes out, Brady will likely believe those who warned him about being with Kristen were right.

She’ll have fought so hard to keep him that she’ll end up pushing him away, and it seems like this story is just going to keep repeating itself. We’re thinking this family needs to do some serious energy cleansing and therapy to exorcise these demons now. They need it.
