    NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate we haven’t seen the end of a certain actress in Salem. Despite the death of Adrienne Johnson (Judi Evans), it seems her presence will remain a part of the series. Just how remains the mystery. Here’s what you need to know.

    We spoke a bit about all the drama surrounding Adrienne. Her last day also marked the beginning of a lot of suffering in town. We hoped she’d come back in some way, and it seems that’s the case. Several cast members, including Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) have assured fans via social media she’ll be back on the show. So, how is this going to play out? We don’t see any scenario for Adrienne to be alive.

    Of course, she does have more than one character. We speculated what motivations Bonnie Lockheart might have for returning to town, and whether or not she might impersonate her lookalike. While it would be some interesting story telling for cast and crew, we think this week’s past Salem episodes would make such a plot a bit much to take. Things have to lighten up a little bit, so we’re thinking a far more light-hearted return of the character in the future. We know she wrote a book, so it’s possible she’ll come to Salem for a tour, or just to shake things up a bit. After all, once a schemer, always a schemer. But we do have one other option to consider.

    There’s so much that happened in only a year’s time. It’s possible the writers are planning more flashbacks to show us what’s up with some other people. After all, we’ve only seen some of what the town and its characters have been up to. It’s possible there’s even more to reveal, especially since we’ve still got the question of who killed Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley) out there, as well as Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi) returning to town with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). They have plenty of drama to deal with at the paper as well. With its star reporter, Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) in a coma, and Abigail just learning the ropes, it’s possible we might see her first steps on the Journalism path, guided by Adrienne and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). There’s probably things they haven’t even hinted at yet to explore. The way they’ve set this up, things are wide-open.
