Mikayla Nogeira is back to posting on TikTok, and according to her die-hard fans at least, she is an unbothered queen, simply because she did not address any of the scandal that she’s going through currently concerning her sponsored video using L’oreal’s new telescopic mascara. Around a week ago she got on tiktok and sang it’s praises, but according to Ardell she should have given them a little credit and said that she was actually wearing demi-wispies in the video.
(They did dedicate an entire video to it over on tiktok.) The thing is, brands often use false lashes in advertising, but they are required by the FTC to disclose that information in fine print in their TV ads or face an extremely hefty fine. A fine which both the company and Mikayla might be facing since neither have really addressed the scandal.

This video did accomplish one thing, it brought Jeffree Star out of retirement, not on YouTube obviously but over on TikTok he said that he will be reviewing makeup and giving his completely honest opinions about products in the future. That no one could pay him even a million dollars to say a product is good because he makes his own money, fair enough.
James Charles even commented on the review saying that he wishes that he would have been paid for his review like Mikayla was, he did a review as well and did end up praising the mascara, however in the video he made sure to disclose that he didn’t need false eyelashes, however the look wasn’t quite as dramatic as Mikayla’s, which is a lot more realistic.
Mikayla’s first video back after the drama was a Valentine’s day look, where she did her eyes pink. Her third video however was a video obviously addressing but not addressing the drama by removing the look, eyelashes first, all the while saying, “I can’t take it off, I can’t take it off!” She didn’t stutter nor did she look away from the camera.
In this video it was clear that she was saying that she knew people expected her to address the drama but that she just wasn’t going to give anyone the satisfaction. She has come out in the comments and said that she wasn’t wearing false lashes in the initial look, but at this point no one believes her. We’ll continue to keep an eye on this. Stay tuned!!!
