TikTok Mommy Vlogger Maia Knight who rose to fame during the pandemic chronicling her journey as the single Mom to twins learned first had that on the internet you can’t please everyone all of the time. Most of her social media content revolves around the challenges she faces of being a single Mom to twin girls, however for the longest time people were giving her a lot of hate because she continually showed her babies faces in videos.
They would say things like she wasn’t protecting her kids enough, and, eventually she listened because just recently she made the decision to stop showing her babies in videos. The children are one year olds now and are growing up and she has made the decision not to show them publicly anymore because she wants to protect them.
Why is Maia Knight hiding her kids now?
Only now people are giving her hate because she wants to protect her children’s identity? In fact people have threatened to unfollow her and have even went as far as to ask “what are my custody rights” in the comments because they feel so entitled to see these children… which we hope was meant in a joking manner but it’s the internet and frightening things happen.
The thing is, Maia seems to be making a pretty sound decision, because it’s one thing to show a baby or a one year old, it’s entirely another to have a child grow up online or otherwise in the spotlight when they’re expected to attend school and have an otherwise normal life. A life lived in the spotlight is anything but normal, just ask a Duggar child.
There was also an unsubstantiated rumor that the father to the twins took Maia to court over the babies being in videos and got a court order for her to stop filming them. When one commenter said as much Maia assured them that she was not being “forced” to hide her kids in any way and that this was her own decision. She reiterated that she is doing this to protect her girls and to protect her own mental health.
We do see her point about the latter, a child predator can’t really single out your kids if they don’t know what they look like. She says her content is not going to change all that much, she just won’t be showing her kids, and weren’t people there for the Mom journey to begin with? It begs the question. Stay tuned!!!
