While heavy metal is often criticized, their fans are typically some of the nicest people in the world. Sure, not in every case, but from a strictly anecdotal point of view, they are generally softer and kinder people. They also love helping each other rock.
This is symbolized at one of their shows yesterday when a fan lost their leg. Don’t worry, it was a prosthetic. Thankfully it was found almost immediately and the crowd surfed the leg back over to its rightful owner so he could continue to enjoy the show and cheer on his band.

Fans Help Fan Find His Prosthetic Leg During Metal Band GWAR Concert
The band stopped the show and announced to the crowd, “If anybody’s got a fake leg out there, or got an extra fake leg, send it this way cuz this guy needs his f****** leg.” Almost instantly the leg popped up in the crowd and a sea of hands carried it over to the man, all while cheering and yelling.
Fans commented on the amazing moment, “Woohoo leg returned!”, “I love this so much”, “God I love Gwar shows so much. Not only because of Gwar. Also because of the fucking fans.”, “Gwars fans reflect their awesomeness✨🤘🏼love you guys🖤🖤🖤”, and “that was so funny my jaw dropped when that leg went up like a trophy only in LA SMH!😂”
