There’s a new report that says Meghan Markle’s maternity leave is set to begin in May, even though she earlier announced that her due date is sometime during the summer. Meghan will be taking leave from her duties at Archewell, her nonprofit with husband Prince Harry, and all other professional endeavors. However, sources say the Duchess always keeps an eye on everything because she’s a “workaholic.” In other words, she won’t be going anywhere, anytime soon.
Meghan Markle’s Maternity Leave Will Begin In May
“She doesn’t stop,” said one source who knows her.
As many fans know by now, Meghan stayed behind while Prince Harry flew back to the UK for his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral this coming Saturday.
While Meghan had been desperate to support him, but despite making “every effort,” the Duchess — who spoke of her heartbreak at suffering a miscarriage last year – was not given the greenlight by her physician to make the 12-hour flight.
Prince Harry is now quarantining at their UK home, Frogmore Cottage, on the Queen’s Windsor estate. Harry has met with Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank and their newborn baby August at Frogmore Cottage. Harry flew into London’s Heathrow Airport on Sunday and is currently quarantining until the funeral service on Saturday.
All senior members of the royal family are expected to attend Prince Philip’s funeral at Windsor Castle amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with a service at St. George’s Chapel — where Harry and Meghan wed in 2018. The Duchess of Sussex has stayed behind in California because of her pregnancy.
