Meghan Markle Might Still Return To London – Here’s Why

British Royal Family News says that if there’s anything we’ve learned about Meghan Markle over the years, it’s that she had always advocated and loved our furry four-legged friends. The former Hollywood actress has several dogs of her own, which is probably why she is still working behind the scenes with a patronage that she refuses to leave behind in the UK – Mayhew. The animal charity works with homeless people with dogs in the UK while also trying to provide them with shelter and a little stability. Here’s what you need to know.

As many royal fans know, one of the last royal engagements that Meghan Markle made prior to her and Prince Harry’s ‘Megxit’ announcement was to the Mayhew headquarters in London. Meghan’s visit was done in secrecy and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t even post about it on social media until well after it was done. Because of the challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, Mayhew is urging their local community to help as much as they can. They have even launched an urgent appeal for funds to buy food as well as flea and worming treatments for their animals.

It is also one of the reasons why the Duchess has been in touch, even though she now lives in Los Angeles with her husband Prince Harry and their tot, Archie Harrison. A source in the Sussex camp told Newsweek: “The Duchess is in touch and working with Mayhew at this time. One thing many people may not realize is the range of work Mayhew does. It is not your classic animal charity. They are supporting so many other people in the community too.”

After finding out that Meghan Markle is still very much involved with the charity while also trying to raise funds on her end, some of her fans commented on social media with, “I have just donated to Mayhew when I read the post on a Sussex fan page. Anything to support Meghan’s patronage,” along with, “I have just donated as well and included the £3 treat took plus the processing fees which I always pay! I dedicated it to the Duchess as well.”

Another fan wrote, “I heard she had a project coming for the Mayhew but it might be on hold due to the pandemic. This suggests Meghan is doing more than calling them. We typically don’t find out about actual Sussex initiatives until they are complete.”
