Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been slammed by The Cut, a left-leaning pro-Sussex magazine. The couple has been unable to achieve success at literally anything.
Meghan Was Supposed To Promote Archetypes In August 2022 Article
The Cut is part of New York magazine. In the August 2022 publication, “Meghan Markle On Her New Life in California,” the Duchess of Sussex made some remarks about the royal family.
One example she discussed is how royals have to give up control over things most people take for granted, like posting pictures of their children before the “UK media pool” is in possession of them.
She complained that the British press called her child “the n-word,” claiming she had no interest in getting back into social media after being bullied online. However, she told the author of the piece, Allison P. Davis, that she was getting back on Instagram.
Meghan had intended to promote her new (at the time) Archetypes podcast for Spotify during the interview, which she did as an afterthought.
We all know how this ended for Harry and Meghan. Bill Simmons, a Spotify executive, called them “F***ing grifters,” their deal with Spotify was terminated.
The article shocked the royal family, as Meghan wasn’t shy about voicing her opinion. She said she and Prince Harry were “happy” to leave the UK and were
“upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy just by existing.”
She made the smart a** comment that she and Harry’s desire for “financial freedom” was not “reinventing the wheel.” Meghan claimed that plenty of princes, princesses, and dukes had asked for exactly what they did and had received it.
She claimed that other royal family members had asked for financial freedom and weren’t told no. Meghan also alluded to the notion that she was “just being herself,” but she wasn’t adhering to the “social norm.”
“Polo” Received Only Two Stars Or Less From Critics
Meghan later claimed that she had been “too open” and “too trusting” during the interview and hinted that she was taken advantage of. After all, she had only intended to discuss her Archetypes podcast and Spotify deal.
The Cut recently featured an article by writer Danielle Cohen titled
“Harry and Meghan’s Projects Can’t Stop Flopping. “
The piece focuses on the Sussexs’ latest effort, their new Netflix docuseries,
“Polo, which chronicles the very uninteresting world of professional polo playing with very few appearances by Harry and Meghan.”
The show received two stars or less from critics. Jane Fryer called “Polo” “flat, plodding and really rather boring,” giving it an embarrassing one-star review.
Cohen admitted she hadn’t watched the show but had this to say about “Polo,”
“It forms part of the couple’s tortured attempts to launch a successful Stateside endeavor.”
She continued,
“It’s called Polo, and while you might think a sport involving horses, fancy hats, and fan-cammable athletes would do well with viewers, Polo is already getting horrific reviews.”
Cohen likened the Sussexes new offering to Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard disaster. Both projects were destined to fail.
Harry’s new Polo series has been met with stark criticism and scathing reviews. One critic asserted that the docuseries didn’t feature the main draw,
“Not enough of the Sussexes to make this anything other than a dull indulgence about a rich person’s pursuit.”
