It looks like makeup guru James Charles is set to launch his own brand… but didn’t he already do that with Teddy Fresh and Sisters apparel? Maybe not, perhaps that was a pre-pandemic fever dream that no one actually remembers, but wait, no, it did happen, but James Charles decided he didn’t have enough money so he’s decided to launch a make-up brand. It was supposed to launch in 2022 but now it looks like he’s pushed back the launch date until early 2023.
Only thing is… he doesn’t really have a plan for this launch. Yes, he’s decided to do make-up but he’s currently doing polls on his IG about which type of blush people preferred, he even got a brand new tiktok account dedicated to just make-up so he can showcase more looks on there… even though he could literally do that on his regular tiktok but I digress. But the thing is, some people are asking the question, what can James Charles bring to the table that other make-up brands can’t?

At first glance he really doesn’t have much to go on besides opinions of his followers, he tried getting a lab to create a blush pallette that he designed but apparently it was not up to par and several samples came back cracked. Even so, he didn’t mind showcasing the epic failure on his new tiktok because he said that the lab didn’t do such a great job of bringing his vision to life…. tell us something we didn’t already know.
So we wonder, with broken products and no current plan of launch, how is James Charles going to compete in the makeup industry with top of the line brands like Jeffree Star cosmetics around?
Even if he managed to land some deals with some major influencers (because as we all know from Morphe’s mistake, celebrities just aren’t cutting it anymore and it takes a lot more than a famous face to sell a make-up brand these days. As for James Charles, he needs to truly work hard in order not to get eaten alive by his competitors in the industry… can he do it? We’ll be watching. Stay tuned!!!
