‘Love in Paradise’ Spoilers finds that Steven’s family really put her on the spot and acted like Martine was the one not being serious about Steven and essentially making him wait, when that’s not the case. If anything, we know that Steven is the reluctant one and when Martine implied that she wanted to get married Steven basically backpedaled the heck out of dodge.
He has said that he doesn’t really want to get married, but now that he’s family has started leanng on Martine a bit for an answer, and basically saying the same things that she was saying earlier, a lightbulb seems to have turned on for Steven.

However, before that happens, Martine decided during a lull in the dinner conversation that she would take Steven’s Mom, Barbara, aside and give her the low-down on why she and Steven haven’t gotten engaged or tied the knot yet.
She thanked her for dinner and then she told her about the cheating that went down on Steven’s part, and that she just didn’t really trust him all that much. You have to give Martine props for courage there, some girls wouldn’t have the guts to tell a Mom that their son cheated on them, but at least Martine was honest.
Barbara seemed to understand, she knew that when Martine spoke to her that she was looking for some advice to comfort her. Barbara did say that if Steven came around with a new girl that she wouldn’t speak to Martine about it, but rather she would speak to Steven about it.
She did say that she as happy that Martine was trying to build her trust in Steven, so far she’s a lot more supportive than a lot of the potential mother-in-laws on 90 day, then again this is a different show, they have resorted to emotionally abusive tactics yet.
She said that she wasn’t going to force anyone’s hadn either way, which is a good thing and she also said that peace of mind is important. But Martine said that when it comes to Steven, there’s still something that she can’t fully trust. Guess we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
