Even though Lori Loughlin has been rather quiet these last several years due to her college admission scandal, she was one of the first people to release a statement about her former co-star and friend Bob Saget’s death. The actress said that Saget was more than just her friend, but her family, too. Here’s what you need to know.
Saget died in Orlando at the age of 65. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the legendary comedian and “Full House” actor was found dead Sunday in a room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando.

Shortly after the tragic news was made public, Lori spoke out and expressed her sadness. “Words cannot begin to express how devastated I am. Bob was more than my friend, he was my family,” Loughlin said in a statement. “I will miss his kind heart and quick wit. Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories and laughter. I love you, Bobby.”
They first worked together on “Full House” between 1987 and 1995. Officials said they were called for a report of an unresponsive man around 4 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found Saget and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” officials said in a statement.
