Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli have spoken on how the media scrutiny towards their mother Lori Loughlin started to impact her on a negative scale.
Lori Loughlin’s Daughters Open Up On Their Mother’s Struggles Following The College Admission Scandal
Lori, for her part, was accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to ensure that her daughters had ended up being admitted into the University of Southern California.
This was in conjunction with her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, who was also found to be complicit in the crime. And the toll of this started to impact the family dynamics.
During an interview on their ‘Conversations with Olivia Jade’ podcast, Bella said: “I think just the hardest part of this entire thing was watching how horrible, or reading or seeing, how horrible the media was.”
Although the whole family was implicated in the scandal, it looks as though Lori was the one that was taking the brunt of it. It is not clear whether Lori was the one who instigated the idea, but regardless, they struggled to see their mother suffering.
Olivia stated: “It didn’t nearly affect me as much as seeing mom having all this thrown on her. She really took this whole thing on her back, solely.
“There are a lot of people that were in this case, and a lot of other parents.” But with both parents having done their time in prison, they have learnt from their past mistakes.
And ever since their release, Lori and her husband have decided to keep a low profile. Rather than engaging in a verbal tirade about what had happened to them, they have chosen to enjoy their time together as a family.
In contrast, Olivia has chosen to throw herself into the limelight. She is taking part in this season’s ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ And by the looks of it, she resonated with the public.
Even though she did not win the competition, it showed that she was accepted back into the public arena. It looks as though the Loughlin family have moved on from their struggles.
