In the concluding instalment of the Netflix documentary series “Harry & Meghan” featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry shared what he longs for the most concerning living within the Royal Family.
Prince Harry Misses The ‘Weird Family Gatherings’ Of The Royal Family
Harry took a huge risk in leaving the firm in 2020 alongside his wife. By walking away from a life of privilege, Harry engaged on a task of setting up a life of independence. He has had two children with Meghan, with reports suggesting that the couple may consider having a third.
While Harry has managed to settle down somewhat, there is no denying that the Duke does miss some elements. In his comments in his docuseries, he said: “I miss the weird family gatherings when we’re all sort of brought together under one roof for, you know, certain times of the year.
“That I miss. You know, being part of the institution meant that I was in the U.K. so I miss the U.K. I miss my friends.” Nevertheless, any chances of Harry assimilating himself back into his family are slim.
The docuseries has done some damage, with Meghan coming across as though she had insulted the late Queen Elizabeth II by reenacting her over-the-top curtsy. In addition, Harry recalled how his brother, Prince William, had shouted and screamed at him during a meeting concerning Megxit.
The fans on social media made their position very clear. A significant proportion of people were of the view that Harry was coming across as increasingly unhappy. Therefore, it was not surprising that he may be missing his family.
One person wrote: “Karen’s: Prince Harry is a hostage. He looks like he misses his family. He used to smile. He looks miserable.” Ultimately, Harry has to do what is best for him. And that is the most important thing.
