Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ (MAFS) spoilers finds that after a brief COVID-19 scare, it seems Jamie Otis of MAFS Season 1 is now back to celebrating her latest pregnancy with husband Dough Hehner. Jamie announced last week that she tested negative for the coronavirus. Following this relieving news, Jamie posted a series of light-hearted videos and intimate photographs updating fans about her pregnancy.

Jamie got personal on her Instagram stories when she disclosed her weight gain of 55 pounds. “I have a week until I’m full term — like, 40 weeks… So I still have time to go,” said Jamie. “I don’t know how I got so big?” she amusingly stated as she displayed a tub of ice cream. “I’ve gained 55 pounds in this pregnancy… this must be a really big baby,” She joked. “Btw — I prefer peanut butter ice cream but we ran out.”
Along with these Instagram stories, Jamie posted two nude maternity photos of herself. She captioned these photos with a message of obstacles in her pregnancy journey, as well as gratitude for her current state.

Jamie began her extensive caption to the artistic photos with thankfulness for her pregnancy, despite some of the difficulties she’s experienced. “I promised God I wouldn’t complain about any pregnancy pains if he’d just let me keep this baby. Monday I am 39 weeks pregnant!!! I wont complain about the waddle, the Hemorrhoids, the fatigue, and back pains,” said Jamie. “God’s kept his promise and I’m keeping mine!”
However, there is one thing Jamie wishes she could change about her approach to this pregnancy. She wrote that if she could do things differently, she would, “put more effort into bonding with @babyboyhehner throughout [the] whole pregnancy,” explaining, “I’ve held my breath from the moment the fertility specialist said I’m pregnant.” Jamie suffered three miscarriages in close succession before becoming pregnant with baby boy Hayes.

Jamie revealed that she did not want to project fear onto her unborn child and “only wanted to put positive energy out for this sweet baby boy…” Though the pregnancy has gone well, Jamie admits she “never felt ‘safe’ [enough]” to fully relax. “With each pregnancy milestone I felt more and more confident we wouldn’t lose him,” she said, “but I never felt ‘safe’ to just let all my guards down…which unfortunately prevented me from truly bonding with him.”
Jamie hopes to redeem this regret with an at-home birth. “I am so excited… [to] have the opportunity to have the calmness of my own home so that I can bond and connect on a deeper level with our baby Hayes.” Jamie is due on May 11th.
