From one proud New Yorker to another, she’s got this covered. There are new reports that say Leah Remini will return to host the “Wendy Williams Show” as host Wendy Williams remains on hiatus. The Hollywood actress will resume her guest-hosting duties along with Michelle Visage for another two weeks starting November 29th until December 10th. Here’s what you need to know.

“Michelle and I couldn’t be more grateful to Wendy, her amazing crew, Debmar-Mercury, and most of all, Wendy’s loyal fans for liking us and for trusting us to have us hold it down until Wendy’s return,” Remini, 51, said in a statement.

Apparently, Wendy’s recovery is taking longer than expected. In fact, her ongoing health issues may keep her out of her daytime talk show until at least 2022.  According to reports, Wendy Williams has been feeling very “lonely” and the fact that she won’t be back to work until at least 2022 has a lot of people concerned.

However, the controversial talk show host did release a statement that suggested everything was fine on her end. Or at least, as fine as it can be right now.

The Wendy Williams Show released a statement last month saying that she was dealing “with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations.” If that weren’t enough, TMZ also reported that she was voluntarily hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation.  Her brother Thomas Williams, Jr. gave ET Online an update on his sister.

“I did speak with Wendy, she’s stabilized, she’s doing alright. You know, I can’t give all the blow by blows. I told her I’ll never proceed her voice through the show,” he said. “But I do thank you all for all the kind words, I really do believe and have the faith that Wendy’s going to make it.”
